About Dog Handler Units
A dog handler unit is one officer plus a trained general-purpose security dog — a deterrent multiplier when you need clear coverage of a large outdoor area. UK providers supply NASDU-accredited handler-and-dog teams for static guarding, mobile patrols, or event work. The dog significantly extends a single officer's effective coverage and reaction range, especially at night, and is often the cheapest option for kilometres-long perimeters.
